Christmas in England

Hello everybody. My name is Patrick, not St. Patrick but just Patrick from tiny Hjorring.
I want to tell a little story about Christmas in England.

Every year Norway gives a Christmas tree to London, because England helped Norway during the Second World War. The tree is decorated with colourfull lights. The tree is standing in Trafalgar Square. Trafalgar Square is the biggest shopping area in London. Santa Caus comes every Christmas, so the children can make a wish on his lap.
Santa Claus is a really known person over most of the World. He comes with gifts to children that have ben good during the year.
The stories from over 100 years, that tell he was a german man called Saint Nicklas,  who was a rich
man that wasnt actually selfish, but, he liked to help the poor people.Oh sorry, i think i want to go futher with the story.

While the children sit on Santas lap the parents go shopping around the area.
Some parents wait until after Christmas to buy presents, because they are cheaper. But they must have brain damage.
Maybe its kind of hard to say but children change alot after 365 days.
You cant expect that children will be happy if they got something that they wished last year!
In the most of Europe they hang up the mistletow under the threshold. In a lot of countries they have adopted the tradition with the mistletow, but it comes originally from England. If somebody stands under the mistletow Then you can kiss him are her.
In the last days of November the wife starts to make the food and decorations for Christmas eve.
When you stir the dough for the Christmas pudding around in the bowl are pot, all of the family members have to stir the dough at least one time.

The children in England make Christmas shows so there parents, brothers and sisters can come and see it.
Christmas in England starts when you wake up on the 25`th of december in the morning.
Then you go and scream your head of so every boddy in the house wakes up. Then you go into the living room and wait for the rest of your family to come. So then you must open the presents from Santa and from your family. But remember to open them gently, so nobody will think that you are greedy.------

So--- that was my Christmas story. But remember even that you dont live in England, you can still have the same traditions.

With lots of Christmas wishes Patrick.
